Malaysian FM launches fund-raising campaign for Yemen

Malaysian Foreign Minister Saif Adin Abdullah along with Ymen’s Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur Dr Adel Bahomaid launched Sunday a fund-raising campaign ” Relieve our Affected Brothers in Republic of Yemen”. The fund-raising operation organized by Global Peace Mission Malaysia (GPC) to help mitigate harsh humanitarian situations in Yemen. Bahomaid’s launching remarks touched upon catastrophic humanitarian situations in Yemen as a result of the war triggered by Iran-backed Houthi putschist militia.

The Ambassador expressed thanks for Malaysia’ Monarch, government and peoples and (GPM) as well for their sincere supportive stances alongside the Yemeni people. Bahomaid deeply appreciated Malaysian government’s, charity associations’ and civil society organizations’ role in contributing to humanitarian and relief efforts to allay the Yemeni peoples’ ordeal created by Houthi militia’s coup against the legitimate authority.

For his part, Malaysian Foreign Minister said” Fund-raising campaign came in solidarity with the Yemeni peoples who are struggling with hardships due to economic crisis and shortage of monetary supplies in Yemen amid the war which has been continuing for four years, negatively affected all walks of life”.

 

Successful female Yemeni business pioneers present their experiences in Malaysia

The first forum of pioneering Yemeni businesswomen was held in the Malaysian capital on Saturday. In the event which was organized by the Yemeni Students’ Union, a group of Yemeni businesswomen presented their experiences of success in the businesses they had established in various fields.

At the event opening, the Ambassador of Yemen to Malaysia Dr. Adel Mohammed Bahomeid stressed that this forum will contribute greatly to the empowerment of Yemeni women and provide them with the knowledge and expertise required to engage in the world of finance and business and contribute to improving the economic situation of the Yemeni community in Malaysia.

 

Ambassador Ba-Homeid, Malaysian official discuss Yemen developments

Yemen’s Ambassador to Malaysia Adel Bahomeid and Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Wan Azizah Wan Ismai discussed on Monday the developments in Yemen and the coordination of Malaysia humanitarian support to the people affected by the years long Houthi insurgency.

Ba-Homeid raised the impact of the Houthi coup d’état and rebellion against the Yemeni state. He stressed the Yemeni government’s keen support for the efforts of the UN Special Envoy, Martin Griffiths at all political, military and humanitarian levels.

On her part, Wan Azizah, affirmed her country’s support for the security of Yemen and the UN envoy’s efforts in this regard.
